Sean Lennon - Bathtub

This is the 1st song I heard of Sean’s I good friend JB told me to listen to its, I felt it sounded enough but by 1:11 I knew I was going to love it.  After that I went through both of Sean’s Albums : “Into the Sun” and “Friendly Fire”

Short Bio: He is the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono

Beethoven, Symphony No 7, mvmt II - Karajan, Berliner Philharmonic (via violistarevirtuoso)

This is the main piece used in the movie “The Fall” it is purely amazing

George Duke - Shine On

I believe George Duke was my first direct entrance into the Jazz world, even though he is a Funk Jazz fusion.  I was familiarized with him through a supplemental, Keyboard Magazine made for improving playing, and his article had to be the most utmost theory based improve in the issue.  I was deeply interested in his chord progression and inversion, (Most producer today loop, George always had some slightly different with each melody)

After falling in love with the songs of George Duke, easily move into Stanley Clarke and George Benson’s repertoire

Rameau, Anacreon

Sounds amazing, I always Loved the sound of tenors and opera singers (not sure if these 2 are classifed either but you know where I am coming from)  the track is too short I need a 50min piece.

Camp Lo - Luchini

More memories, I heard this in high school at the gym, my coach made a mix with it when he was in high school and I couldn’t get enough of the song.  I pretty much googled the lyrics for hours until the track pop up.  After that I went through all their tracks, one of the other notable tracks is “Coolie High.”  What makes Camp Lo different from any artist I ever heard was they were all about jive talking when they were rapping.

Last.fm Re-started

I restarted my last.fm account.  I always loved how this made stats of everything I was listening too, but I am not to positive about the service, thats proabably why I stop using it.  But for this “Reclaiming Music” project I am going to use it to keep track on whats Hot on my Playlist.

Last.fm/user/Coldice4678 I am going to fix tumblr to auto feed.

*update: tumblr only does rss feeds not straight xml, so I will just do a weekly screenshot.

Kanye West - I Need To Know

This is some unreleased cruising music, perfectmix to bang while you are driving around town with all your windows down.  Another gem by Dr. Kanye West that many people will never hear.

“Dike Twins, I will not Lie they were 5’s but together they are ten”

Update: Reclaiming Music

I finally choose to sleep last night, currently I have woke up I am listening to some Kevin Eubanks, (“smooth” Jazz Guitarist).  I thought It new start would be refreshing but I was teasing myself.  One artist reminds me of 20 other artists I lost.  Just skimming the bio of Kevin Eubanks reminded me of Norman Brown, Art Blakey, Charlie Parker.  This morning I remember how I lost my Tribe Called Quest collection and made recollect on how I am missing my complete Minnie Ruperton collection, f***, which the Tribe heavily sampled their beats off of.

It might be a few weeks before the posts are more enlighthing and less me beating myself for being an idiot and throwing way what I was working on for close to 10 years.  And I probably going to use the word “losted” alot because I love double past tensed words.

Fat Joe - Does Anybody Know

Just to change the pace a bit, here is Fat Joe’s Does Anyone Know off his 2005 “All  Or Nothing.”

I love the Production on this beat which was done by Cool & Dre, this track and the intro (produced by streetrunner) the definite hidden gems on the album.  This is back when ever produce was riding hard off of Kanye’s product cues with the hi pitched soul vocal (which I still love to this day.).
